New AP PLC
Launching July 2021

 

Summary: This monthly cohort-style development serves as the foundational skill-building to onboard new APs to the DCPS Way, with a focus on instructional leadership. Supplemental coaching touchpoints are also provided to support leadership success. 

Benefits:

  • Engage in collaborative discussions about challenges, triumphs, and strategic approaches to leadership in each unique school community, embedded in the DCPS Way

  • Receive targeted support and skill building in instructional leadership, personnel management, family and community engagement, and school culture, led by current and past school leaders

  • Gain peer-to-peer support from other new assistant principals in a supportive and non-judgmental environment
